Washington Society of Landscape Painters ~ Exhibition Page ~
McBride Gallery is honored to host this centennial exhibit of the Washington Society of Landscape Painters. Founded in 1913, WSLP is one of the oldest painting societies in the country. Headquartered in Washington, D.C this exclusive painting group is limited to 40 members and is dedicated to the tradition of plein air landscape painting. A number of nationally prominent painters have graced their roster over the years.
This is the first exhibit held in Annapolis by the Washington Society of Landscape Painters. Cynthia McBride said, "Landscapes are a favorite subject for painters. Landscapes, which include city scenes, marine scenes and farm scenes are also a favorite subject for art collectors."
