Daniel Gerhartz
Daniel Gerhartz is a widely recognized and accomplished artist. Having studied at the American Academy of Art in Chicago, Illinois, he embraced the Impressionist style reminiscent of master artists such as Sargent, Mucha, Fechin and Sorolla.

Dan's paintings embrace a range of subjects, most prominently the female figure in either a pastoral setting or an intimate interior. He is at his best with subjects from everyday life, genre, the sacred - idyllic landscapes or figures in quiet repose. His mastery of the female figure, the clothed figure especially, is brilliant. His expressionist brushstrokes, application and modeling of light and color dramatize his bold and ambitious technique.

In a Gerhartz painting, the ordinary and commonplace are transformed to a higher reality with greater importance. Emotion is a vital part of his design, while mastery of the human form makes his paintings a powerful visual experience.
