Paint Annapolis is a Plein Air Painting Event designed to engage the community in our vibrant local culture. Artists from far and wide are juried into the competitive arm of the event. Community members are also invited to paint alongside.
McBride Gallery artists who are participating in Paint Annapolis will have their work highlighted this month. During the competition, you can watch artists as they spontaneously capture the beauty of our city.

What is Paint Annapolis?
The Paint Annapolis Outdoor painting competition and event is run and hosted by the Maryland Federation of Art. Artists are selected through a jury process to compete for awards. Canvases are stamped to ensure they are blank to start. Competition artists paint on location outdoors from June 1-8.
Fun Fact:
Abigail McBride was one of the original founders of Paint Annapolis. She continues to enjoy supporting the event and is delighted by how the MFA has expanded and enhanced it. This year she is judging the student section of the competition.
