When oil paint was finally available in sealable tubes and did not have to be 'prepared'
fresh every day, artists began to travel more frequently, to explore, to meet with
fellow artists, to paint together, to share news of shows
and exhibition opportunities and more...

David Diaz loves to travel to paint. He has competed in the Plein Air competition in Ireland for enough years, this American is 'expected' to come every year. A recent trip with a fellow artist to Argentina had some scary moments in the effort to return home when the Pandemic struck, but he came home with paintings of glaciers in the mountains, historic city scenes, marine and garden scenes...
